We are seeking someone to look after the Museum site when it is open at weekends and be the designated person in charge of overseeing customer service, security, and health and safety. The role plays an integral part in ensuring the museum delivers a memorable visitor experience and is also responsible for incident control, fire evacuations, and health and safety throughout the public areas of the museum.

Cambridge Museum of Technology is an independent organisation based in the City’s former sewage pumping station which has been designated a scheduled ancient monument. Its collections range from 19th century steam engines to 20th century scientific instruments and telecommunications equipment, all with a strong local connection.  It was founded in the 1960s by enthusiasts from local industry and the University committed to saving and promoting the industrial history of the town.  For many years the Museum operated on a small scale, but we have recently undergone a major redevelopment funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

We are prepared to consider job share subject to meeting the operational needs of the organisation.
