In November 2021, Cambridge Museum of Technology hosted the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) for its Eastern Region New Members and Fellows Event, with over 30 recipients of IMechE chartered awards in attendance.
The event was also simultaneously broadcast by museum volunteers to IMechE awardees (and their friends and family) worldwide, enabling an online audience to watch the event.
Cambridge Museum of Technology Trustee and IMechE Fellow John Sheppard introduced the speakers:
Dame Mary Archer, Chair of the Science Museum Group Board of Trustees
Dr Alice Bunn, IMechE Chief Executive
to give presentations about their respective careers in science.
