Behind-the-scenes tour

Tuesday 7th May at 2pm - for National Lottery players

Monday 13th May at 2pm

Tuesday 28th May at 10am

Cambridge Museum of Technology is currently closed to the public while it undergoes a major redevelopment funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project includes restoring our historic boiler system so we can run our steam engines again, installing new displays on local industries and companies, and improving facilities and disabled access. When it reopens in a few months, it will be a transformed site. But why not take a sneak peak at the work going on now with a behind-the-scenes tour! Let our staff take you on an exclusive tour with details of the work we have done and glimpses of the finished product.

The Museum’s redevelopment was largely funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. As a thank you to lottery players, the first tour on Tuesday 7th May is for National Lottery ticket holders. Please reserve a free place in advance and bring your lottery ticket with you as proof. Ticket prices from the other tours go towards continued costs of the Museum’s redevelopment.

As construction work is ongoing at the Museum, please wear sensible shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dust on.
