2024 Chesterton Festival:
free COMMUNITY-heritage walks by Cambridge Museum of Technology
Explore Chesterton's industrial heritage – including Pye's development of radio, television, radar and and mobile communications –in illustrated walk-and-talks guided by volunteers of Cambridge Museum of Technology as part of the 2024 Chesterton Festival.
The step-free route will follow pavements and dedicated pedestrian paths from Chesterton Recreation Ground (via Church Street / St Andrew's Road) across the Equiano bridge to the gates of the Museum of Technology.
ABOUT THE GUIDED TOURS
Length (distance): approximately 30 minutes (<1km)
Suitable for ages 11+.
All-weather (come suitably prepared!)
No need to book: meet at the designated Chesterton Festival signage for Cambridge Museum of Technology on Chesterton recreation ground (CB4 1DT) 5 minutes before tour time
free tour (N.B. this walking tour does not include admission to Museum of Technology)
