Birthday Bash
Cambridge Museum of Technology first opened its doors to the public in 1971. Over the weekend of 24/25 July between 10.30am to 5.30pm will be a fun packed event suitable for all the family including live music, food and drink and full access to the Museum. . There will also be an exhibition showing how the Museum has developed over the last 50 years. We would love visitors to dress up in 1970’s gear.
Live music between 1.00pm and 5.00pm will be arranged by the Cambridge Folk club on Saturday 24th July including Fred’s House, Chris Fox, Jackson Creek, 4Tunes Friends and Mythopoeic. Cambridge 105 will provide live music and chat between 1.00pm and 4.00pm on Sunday 25 July 1.00pm Bryan Causton and Penni McLaren-Walker, 2.00pm Jeremy Harmer and 3.00pm Red Velvet Trio .
Family activities including craft workshops, outdoor toys and exciting and unique stories from the Cambridge Storytellers.
Community organisations and local charities will be on-site
William, the steam-powered corporation road roller will be on site and in steam along with other steam engines and a group of historic MG cars.
Food and drink will be provided by Kerb Kollective (coffee, ice cream, pastries), Caribbean Lick food van, Real Ales Bar and shop.
