Over 100 years of technological advancement and human endeavour pushed the record to an astounding 317.6mph. But that speed was set in 1978, so can the latest methods push the mark still higher? Team Leader of the ‘Quicksilver’ project, Nigel Macknight, will present the water-speed story in spectacular multimedia and explain the many challenges involved.
