Metamorphosis
An exhibition of paintings, prints and assemblages by Colin Whitworth and Simon Draper, in association with the Cambridge Festival of Ideas.
16th to 27th October
Picasso famously turned parts of a machine into an animal sculpture - a bicycle saddle and handlebars into a bull's head. This exhibition brings together work by two local artists, Colin Whitworth and Simon Draper, who specialise in exploring the transformation of pieces of technology into art. A radio becomes a painting, keys become a sculpture and an instructional manual becomes a poem.
The exhibition is open during regular Museum hours (Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm). Normal entry charges apply. Please use our main entrance on Riverside.
The artists are also running a workshop inspired by the exhibition. Click to see the details.
